Social Psychologist
According to Gordon Allport, (the father of Social Psychology), "social psychology is the scientific attempt to understand and explain how the thought, feeling and behavior of individuals are influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied presence of others" (Allport, 1954).

This quote by Allport lends itself to my interest in social psychology through aspects of generational, psychosocial phenomenon, and how to alleviate bi-directional ageism through intentional connection. Specifically, my research interests intersect at psychosocial aging and wellbeing, and wisdom and intergenerational belonging, and integrating these topics into higher education.
Additionally, I am interested in investigating subjective perspectives of what it means to "age well" according to lived experience of older adults.
